President of the Nepal Boxing Association Mr. Ram Awale arrived to the venue of the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships to follow the continent’s biggest boxing event. Nepal is a developing boxing country in our continent which needs support in the future but in spite of their difficulties the South Asian nation are sending boxers to all AIBA and ASBC events in all age groups.
“This is an amazing ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championship in Tashkent where 28 countries are participating from all region of the continent. We are feeling the Asian spirit here in Tashkent where the best boxers meet each other and competing for the quotas of the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships.
Nepal is proud of the President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Serik Konakbayev as everything depends on the leader in an organization. We believe we have got good leader who is understanding the sport and the needs of the countries such as Nepal.
Nepal’s proud moment was the Moscow 1980 Olympic Games where our boxers took part at the very first time. This is our past but we have to keep our eyes on our future to develop our boxers and all areas of our sport. Nepal’s current economic situation is not the best in the South Asian region but we are working on it to deliver the sport to the people.
As you know Nepal is a small country and boxing is in a developing stage therefore all kind of support would be useful for us in the future including facilities, equipments and other kind things and services. We have been trying to hold our national events and send our female and male boxers to the main AIBA and ASBC events,”
said Mr. Ram Awale who is watching the competition in the venue.
