Only one day left until the start of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships where 26 nations will participate

Fantastic female boxers will be competing in the upcoming ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in Colombo, Sri Lanka from next week.

The countdown continues, only 1 day to go until the start of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in Sri Lanka’s busy capital city.

Twenty-six nations are planning to participate in the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships which is one of the highlights of the year.

Bangladesh, Iraq, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nepal, host Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand and Yemen had the Sport Entries Check today in Colombo.

Afghanistan, Australia, Cambodia, French Polynesia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Vietnam are scheduled to arrange the Sports Entries Check tomorrow.

The Kazakh youth and U22 male boxers are amazing talents, many of them are gold medal contenders in the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships.

Uzbekistan’s rising Bekhruz Kholdorov is only 18-year-old but he claimed silver medal at the recent Elite National Championships in January and he repeated that medal also at the prestigious Strandja International Tournament in Bulgaria one month later.

Tajikistan’s Biloldzhon Iksanov is not only ASBC Asian Junior Champion but he won all of his youth events this year. The 16-year-old Tajik could be one of the aces in the youth competition of this upcoming Asian Championships in Colombo.

The next star in the youth competition could be Kyrgyzstan’s Akhmadi Arvaz who had the very similar career pathway as Iksanov. The 2008 born Kyrgyz youngster won the last ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships and several other events in various countries.  

The event period of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka is between May 10 and 24. The second part of the Sport Entries Check will begin at 08:30am in Colombo tomorrow morning.

The Technical Meeting and the Official Draw will take place in the Grand Cinnamon Hotel in Colombo on May 11, starting from 16:00 and 17:00 local time.
