The head coach of the Nepal national team Mr. Mukhtar Berdimbetov of Kazakhstan selected one junior boxer to the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships which will be starting in Puerto Princesa on August 2. This will be Nepal’s first ever participation in the history of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships.
Their 14-year-old Om Pariyar won the Junior National Selection Tournament in Nepal four weeks ago and received the right to compete in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Puerto Princesa. His upcoming contests will be his first international bouts and a great experience for him in the island of Palawan.
Nepal Boxing Association has been sending athletes to all ASBC and AIBA events which shows their commitment to our sport. Nepal launched its School in Boxing Program in June to find the best talents of the country and promote our combat sport in all regions of the country. Nepal’s new program could be the way of the further developments in our sport.
