Nepal hosted a Referee & Judge Certification Course

Nepal Boxing arranged its next activity, an important Referee & Judge Course took place in Satdobato in their International Sports Premise.
Nepal Boxing and the Province Sports Development Council Bagmati Province organized the National Referee & Judge Certification Course in order to develop the knowledge of their next generations of officials.
The Referee & Judge Certification Course consisted theoretical and pragmatic parts as well and the young officials could understand the implementation of the new rules, the importance of the fair activities and the all of the criteria.
Nepal has promising women’s boxing life, the South Asian country reached already quarter-finals at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships and a medal at the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships. Some of their female R&Js received their certifications after the National Referee & Judge Course.
Nepal’s IBA ITO, Mr. Puskar Raj Pant was the Technical Delegate of the National Selection Tournament and he was also the Chief Instructor of the Course. IBA 3-star Referee & Judge Mr. Santosh Ale Magar worked in the event also as an Instructor in Satdobato.
Nepal hosted its National Selection Tournament as well where 55 boxers competed for the titles which was part of their Talent Hunt Program to build up their grassroots in all of the regions of the country.
Mr. Puskar Raj Pant worked also as the Technical Delegate of the National Selection Tournament and he was an ITO in the 2024 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai, Thailand eight months ago.
