Mr. Yerzhan Zhunussov – Ho Chi Minh City was my first big event out of Kazakhstan

Mr. Yerzhan Zhunussov of Kazakhstan passed his ITO exam and received the right at the very first time to work as an ITO in a continental event. Mr. Zhunussov, who is official also in the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation, worked hard to the success of the ASBC Asian Confederation Women’s Boxing Championships in Ho Chi Minh City.
“The ASBC Asian Confederation Women’s Boxing Championships is an amazing experience for me in Ho Chi Minh City. I have been there in several events but only in Kazakhstan previously, at the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in Astana, at the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Pavlodar therefore great to visit a big event out of my country as ITO.
I passed my exams successfully and I am really happy to be here as official at the very first time, this competition is a debut for me as ITO. The level of the ASBC Asian Confederation Women’s Boxing Championships is rising and I saw several talents in Ho Chi Minh City during the competition days.
The atmosphere was great in the whole competition, I am enjoying my stay in Vietnam in this wonderful continental event. China prepared well to this competition, and their boxers were the bests in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnam was a big surprise for me, their technical skills is among the bests in the Asian continent. Kazakhstan’s women boxers were not enough shape this time as in the Astana 2016 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships but they claimed six medals.
I will be travelling to the Kazakhstan National Championships to Shymkent from Ho Chi Minh City and I hope I will be able to follow great contests. The Galym Zharylgapov Tournament closes the year for me,”
said Kazakhstan’s Mr. Yerzhan Zhunussov in the venue of the ASBC Asian Confederation Women’s Boxing Championships.
