Mr. Serik Konakbayev arrived to the venue of the AIBA Extraordinary Congress to Dubai

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and AIBA Vice-President Mr. Serik Konakbayev arrived to the venue of the AIBA Extraordinary Congress to Dubai. Mr. Serik Konakbayev will be meeting and negotiating with the leaders of the boxing world and the Asian officials in the United Arab Emirates in the upcoming days.
The meeting series will begins with the Pre-Congress for the AIBA Extraordinary Executive Committee members in Dubai on January 25. The AIBA Confederations Informal General Assembles will be taking place on January 26 in the same venue. The meetings will be closing with the AIBA Extraordinary Congress with the participation of 118 National Federations in Dubai on January 27.
The Agenda of the AIBA Extraordinary Congress and the other meeting series contains several important topics including the host agreements for the upcoming AIBA events, the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games and its qualification system, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, financial reviews, further reviews of the different areas, management reports and other key issues of the boxing world.
Our Asian continent bagged sensational results in the AIBA events in 2017 which was the first step for their road to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The Asian boxers claimed 15 medals and topped the rankings at the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships. The AIBA Women’s Youth World Boxing Championships was held in Guwahati, India where the Asian boxers defeated the whole world with their seven titles.
Short after the AIBA Extraordinary Congress and the meetings the Asian boxers can compete in the Indian Open Boxing Tournament in New Delhi from January 28 and in the Duisenkul Shopokov Memorial Tournament in Bishkek from January 31.
