– Could you please introduce your country’s boxing life?
– United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation was established 15 years ago and because of our efforts its name becomes well known among other countries regionally and internationally. Commitments towards our game events allow us to gain a great experience to organize, develop and participate in most of the boxing events.
Locally we have got good number of competitions in the United Arab Emirates which helps creating number of participants and technical team to achieve our strategic plans. Currently we have got more than 200 boxers in the United Arab Emirates in each age group and five national events every year.

– Would you like to tell us your strategic plans for the future and the key developments in your country?
– Our developing programs are running in the United Arab Emirates and we will be waiting for its benefits and results in the upcoming three years until the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. We are working on to develop our promotion, marketing, public relations and sponsorship in the United Arab Emirates. Our main long-term project is to achieve gold medal in the boxing tournament of the Olympic Games and build our national teams continuously.

– What are the main strengths and issues in your boxing life?
– We have got potential young youth and junior teams in the United Arab Emirates and our strong leadership is also our strength. We have got limited financial support, limited other income sources, not enough media coverage, lack of experiences, low popularity of boxing in the country in comparison to other games and currently unqualified technical team therefore we have to develop all of these grassroots.
