Macau hosted its next Open for the Greater Bay Area teams

The next edition of the Macau Open Boxing Tournament, the Greater Bay Are Invitation Tournament was held in the small country with excellent bouts and in a friendly environment.
One of the experienced ITOs and boxing officials, Mr. Billy Vong is the engine in Macau boxing and despite the hard circumstances, he arranges at least three events in the country.
Macau is a developing country in boxing but they have several activities in a year which helps their talents to keep continuing. Macau was even active during the Covid-19 period with shadowboxing events, summer training camps and other kind of sparring sessions.
The small country is planning to participate in the next edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships, and the Chinese National Games, their best boxers are focusing to the international stage this year.
Female boxing is also in developing stage in the region and their Law Che Lam was able to beat Shenzhen’s Sung Yunshi 5:0 at the women’s featherweight (57kg) during the new edition of the Macau Open.
Leong Hou In won all of the three rounds in each scorecard against Liu Chun Wing 5:0 at the lightweight (60kg) and he became the first male winner in the Macau Open.
Lam Ka Hou won the last edition of the Macau Open earlier this year and he was able to repeat that performance in the new event. He not only controlled his contest over the newcomer Lei Hou Dek but he won this bout by RSC in the second round.
Ian Hoi Dek triumphed over Dennis Chan and he secured his next title during his boxing career in Macau. Another experienced local boxer, John Alves was also confident against Shenzhen’s Wang Yu at the featherweight (57kg) while Yeung Yeung defeated Poon Hiu Ching in the next bout of this category.
One of the most experienced local talents, Tam But Man succeeded in the last edition of the Macau Open and he was confident against Wong Tai Ching in the new event to take the title with an unanimous triumph.
Choi Mok Sun stopped Hui Pak Wai in the third round of their meeting while Wang Pan was also too strong for his opponent, Ngo Chio at the light middleweight (71kg).
