Kyrgyzstan’s head coach Mr. Daniyar Jusubaliev – “ASBC Development Program support us on our way to the Asian Games”

Mr. Daniyar Jusubaliev is the head coach of the Kyrgyz national boxing team who replaced Mr. Adylkan Bekbolotov in 2017. Kyrgyzstan’s head coach led the Kyrgyz team in the previous training camps in Almaty and also in Ashgabat which actions was part of the ASBC Development Program.
Kyrgyzstan’s head coach has been preparing with his team to the upcoming Asian Games which will be taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia where the country is planning to get medals. We asked Mr. Daniyar Jusubaliev about the training camps, Kyrgyzstan’s performance and what to expect in the Asian Games.

– Daniyar, how did you feel yourself in the training camp in Ashgabat?
– We had a great experience in Ashgabat, our team learned a lot in all aspects of boxing in that wonderful training camp. We could realize the result of the training camp in the next international competitions which were held in the recent two weeks.

– How satisfied you are with the environment and training facilities in Turkmenistan?
– The training facilities in Ashgabat are one of the best in the whole world and the environment is friendly for all teams and delegations. These together make their training camp and its atmosphere unique.

– What are the most important factors and key factors of the current training camp in Ashgabat?
– The most important factor of the training camp was the support of the management of the Asian Boxing Confederation before and during the event, furthermore the collaboration of the world class coaches.

– How can you compare the first training camp in Almaty with this second in Ashgabat?
– The training camp in Ashgabat for us was the next phase of the development of Asian boxing. Both training and sparring camps were part of the ASBC program and created us a lot of new opportunities.

– What was your opinion about your boxing team in Ashgabat? Did your boxers develop since the last training camp which was held in Almaty?
– The boxers of our Kyrgyz national team are showing astonishing improvements. Thanks to the first camp in Almaty and the second in Ashgabat.

– What are the main strengths of the Turkmenistan’s boxing team?
– The main strength of the Turkmenistan’s boxing team is the ethic for the hard work and their strong mission to be the best.

– Who was the best boxer in the training camp in your opinion?
– The Achilov brothers are strong, I can say they are valuable boxers in the team and also well experiences in the international level.

– In which events did you compete or still planning to attend with the Kyrgyz boxing team before the Asian Games?
– Following the training camps we competed in the Governor Cup in St. Petersburg, Russia and attended also in the Ulaanbaatar Box Cup in Mongolia. Our ASBC Asian Champion Azat Usenaliev won the gold medal in the Ulaanbaatar Box Cup last week and defeated strong boxers in Mongolia.

– What do you expect in the Asian Games in August?
– We hope our team can show its potential in the Asian Games and the Kyrgyz boxers can achieve four medals in Indonesia.

– What is your main goal with the Kyrgyz national boxing team?
– Our main goal is to succeed in all of the major international boxing events. I want to thank you for ASBC launching this great development program supporting the countries as us to compete well in the Asian Games.
