Kyrgyzstan’s future hopes took titles in the Bishkek Championships

The Bishkek City Championships was held in the capital city of Kyrgyzstan which competition delivered 10 champions in the ten male weight classes. Kyrgyzstan is a developing boxing nation with great traditions and their great results in the recent years show the country is even better years by years.
Roslov became the best team in the Bishkek Championships while the first gold medal was achieved by Kamal Amangeldy Uulu at the light flyweight (49kg). Abdykalikov Boxing Gym’s national team member Mirlan Turkbay Uulu moved up to the flyweight (52kg) in the recent weeks and dominated his final contest against Nurbek Kashkulov. Turkbay Uulu competed in the international level in many events since 2011 and had enough experiences to win this competition.
Abdykalikov Boxing Gym’s Kanatbek Abduvakhab Uulu claimed silver medal in the Ismoil Hamzaaliyev Memorial Tournament in Tajikistan and arrived to the competition as main favourite of the bantamweight (56kg). The experienced boxer was too strong for Spartak’s Nursultan Moydunov in the final of the category.
Roslov’s 21-year-old Erzhan Turgunbekov competed in the junior international level already in 2011 and proved his best in the recent competitions. The lightweight (60kg) boxer had 12 rivals in the competition but his efforts were enough to dominate the category in Bishkek where he was too quick for Bayaman Alimbekov in the final.
Bek Kamchibekov involved to the national elite team this year and received the right to box in the qualification events for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The 21-year-old boxer moved up to the light welterweight (64kg) and defeated such strong athletes as ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships competitor 18-year-old Bekzhan Ilichbek Uulu in the semi-final and Daniyar Damirdin Uulu in the gold medal contest.
Roslov’s Kyrgyz National Championships silver medallist Ilyas Mukanbetov eliminated Bulut Yrysbekov in the semi-final of the welterweight (69kg) and continued his winning path in the final against Tilek Olzhobay Uulu. Mukanbetov, who competed international events in Russia and Kazakhstan as well, not only took the title in the event but received the Best Boxer Trophy in the Bishkek Championships.
Spartak’s 20-year-old Yktyiar Shabdanbayev moved up to the middleweight (75kg) in the recent months and proved his strength when he eliminated Erzhan Akelbayev in the semi-final and experienced Adilet Marat Uulu, who injured in the final. Bekbolsun Toktosun Uulu is a new face in the national team as well but he shocked Marat Abdykalikov with his tough punches therefore the referee confirmed his TKO success.
National Championships bronze medallist 20-year-old Zhakshylyk Kuzaliyev and Daniyar Orozbekov delivered a top fight in the final of the heavyweight which was won by Kuzaliyev closely. Former Youth National Champion Aman Nazaraliyev defeated 18-year-old Maksim Tkachev in the final of the super heavyweight (+91kg). His younger rival injured in the bout therefore the ringside doctor ended the contest in the last final of the competition.
