Kyrgyzstan is aiming for titles at the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships

The management of the Kyrgyz Boxing Federation selected a huge delegation for the upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships which will open with its first competition day in Al Ain on August 29.
The upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships will be held in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates between August 27 and September 10 which is the first top event after the Paris Olympics. Two age groups, two genders and Asia’s best 13, 14, 15 and 16-year-old talents will be competing for the 56 available gold medals in Al Ain.
Mr. Aibek Baisayakov and Mr. Meder Mamakeyev are the head coaches of these age groups in Kyrgyzstan and they selected the team based on the results of the National Championships and other preparation tournaments. Eight further coaches assist and help their work in the training camp to arrange the best shape of the Kyrgyz talents.
Kyrgyzstan had a historic silver medal at the Paris Olympic Games and the country wants to continue that pathway and set up new records in terms of number of medals in the forthcoming junior, schoolboys and schoolgirls competition. They registered more than 30 boxers to the event including female junior talents and schoolgirls as well.
The Kyrgyzstan Junior National Championships was held in the city of Tokmak where nine girls and fifteen boys earned their gold medals. Altogether 38 girls and 239 boys competed in the 2024 edition of the Kyrgyzstan Junior National Championships.
Abdulkhak Sadikov (54kg), Kutmanbiy Muratov (57kg) and Izat Kamchybekov (60kg) all won narrow final bouts in this Junior National Championship but the trio will have the chance to show their skills in Al Ain as well.
Akhmadi Arvaza was one of the best Kyrgyz junior boxers in 2023 and he proved his very best at the welterweight (66kg) once again. Islambek Gulamiddinov won all of his three national contests in the last edition one year ago and he defended his throne at the heavyweight (+80kg) in Tokmak and he could be their next medal hope.
Nursultan Duyshonaliyev (46kg) and Dmitriy Ropa (75kg) are spending their first year among the junior talents but they received the right to compete in Al Ain.
The Kyrgyzstan Schoolboys National Championships took place later in their capital city in Bishkek and fifteen champions have been crowned.
Erbol Baratakhunov was named as the Best Boxer of the Kyrgyzstan Schoolboys National Championships and he has strong expectations at the 49kg weight class in Al Ain as well.
Chui region’s Kamil Shar (67kg) was the only 14-year-old boxer in the Kyrgyz Schoolboys National Championships who defended his throne after the 2023 edition therefore he could be their next strong weapon in the younger age group.
More than 25 countries have registered to the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships and the number of the boxers exceeded 450.
