Kyrgyzstan has done its historical debut in the women’s part of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships

Kyrgyzstan never sent any girls to the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships yet but their 14-year-old Medina Abyldayeva has done a historical debut for today. She won the Junior National Championships this spring and arrived to Dubai as one of the youngest competitors of the whole championship.

The Kyrgyz girl met with Uzbekistan’s two-time Junior National Champion Guldana Tileubergenova who trains in the Karakalpakstan’s region of the country. Abyldayeva was taller than her neighbouring rival but she moved ahead and proved brave boxing in her first ever international contest. Tileubergenova landed more punches in the contest and she won their quarter-final but Abyldayeva has done an excellent debut in our sport.
