Kazakhstan wins four gold medals in the Brandenburg Youth Cup

Kazakhstan won four gold medals in the prestigious Brandenburg Youth Cup which was held in Frankfurt an der Oder in Germany. The competition was a preparation event for the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships which to be scheduled in St. Petersburg, Russia between November 14 and 27.
The Asian Boxing Confederation hosted its ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan where the tournament and its organization were in the highest levels. Ten new winners have been crowned in the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Pavlodar and among them six gold medals remained in Kazakhstan. Besides to their gold medallists in Pavlodar their four other boxers shined in the Brandenburg Youth Cup in Germany.
Heydar Aliyev Junior Cup silver medallist Rustam Khamidov replaced Vasilii Samchuk in the team and dominated his contests at the Brandenburg Youth Cup. The 18-year-old Light Flyweight class (49 kg) boxer was quicker than his final opponent Germany’s Salah Ibrahim, who eliminated Russian Youth National Champion Vladimir Mnatsakanyan in the semi-finals, and claimed the gold medal in the lowest category.
Aidos Arapov won several international competitions in the recent one and half year and arrived to the Brandenburg Youth Cup as the titleholder of the Flyweight class (52 kg). The 18-year-old Kazakh hope eliminated Austria’s Mattin Nazary in the semi-finals and controlled his final against Germany’s EUBC European Confederation Youth Boxing Championships bronze medallist Hamsat Shadalov and defended his title in Frankfurt an der Oder.
Bek Nurmagambet robbed into the world of boxing with his gold medal at the 2014 Heydar Aliyev Junior Cup and joined to their youth squad last year. The 18-year-old Middleweight class (75 kg) boxer recovered from his injury and did not give any chance to his opponents in the Brandenburg Youth Cup. Nurmagambet was too strong for Denmark’s Michel Terteryan in the final of the strong youth competition.
Bekzat Nurdauletov had a bit parallel career since 2014 as Bek Nurmagambet and reached the top level of the youth boxers in the recent one year. The Light Heavyweight class (81 kg) boxer competed in Russian, Turkish, Azeri and German events as well and those experiences delivered for him a clear gold medal in Frankfurt an der Oder. Kazakhstan’s pride knocked out Austria’s Kushtrim Veseli in the semi-final and he was in different level than Poland’s Michal Soczynski in the gold medal bout.
Serik Sapiyev Prizes Youth Tournament winner Kazbek Sapenov (60 kg), Ahmet Comert Youth Tournament silver medallist Ray Seitzhanov (64 kg) and ASBC Asian Youth Champion Dmitriy Akhtsiger (91 kg) claimed silver medals for Kazakhstan besides to their four titles in Germany. Another ASBC Asian Youth Champion and AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Serik Temirzhanov (56 kg) and 17-year-old Rustem Bayeshev (+91 kg) claimed bronze medals in Frankfurt an der Oder.
