Kazakhstan trains together with the US and German squads in the AIBA Boxing Academy

Kazakhstan’s top men’s elite boxers joined to a common training camp together with the German and US squads near to Almaty which is serving the preparation for the main goals in 2017. The main important part, the sparrings began in the AIBA Boxing Academy which is located in the Almaty region.
Kazakhstan’s Rio 2016 Olympic Games silver medallists Vasiliy Levit and the new team captain of the national team Adilbek Niyazymbetov are also there in the training camp to prepare together with top opponents in the AIBA Boxing Academy. The Kazakh squad is following their head coach Mr. Myrzagali Aitzhanov’s instructions in the camp. Kazakhstan competed in the Bocskai Memorial Tournament in Debrecen, Hungary before the training camp and their boxers won four medals in the strong event.
Germany will be hosting the AIBA World Boxing Championships in Hamburg from August 25 and their squad has been preparing with full speed to that important event where they have got guaranteed 10 quota places as host. Their key boxers in the training camp are Rio 2016 Olympic Games bronze medallist strong Artem Harutyunyan, Baku 2015 European Games bronze medallist Kastriot Sopa, APB boxer Artur Bril, Chemistry Cup winner Abass Baraou and Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games winner 19-year-old Peter Kadiru. Germany’s next future hope could be Silvio Schierle who is a promising middleweight (75kg) boxer in the European continent.
The US team leads by former Irish head coach Mr. Billy Walsh who have to form a new US squad in the beginning of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic cycle. The US contingent contains new boxers after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games but they have got strong teenage prospects and talents including Efrain Sanchez, Guillermo Gutierrez, Shon Mondragon, Aaron Perez and Toronto 2015 Panamerican Games competitor Brian Ceballo.
