Uzbekistan’s Asilbek Rozumbayev, who trains in the Bakhodir Jalolov Sports School, eliminated his neighbour, Kazakhstan’s Ali Abdikamal in a fantastic semi-final at the 33kg weight class. The Uzbek was smaller than Tajikistan’s Anushervon Sidigov and he tried to catch his neighbouring opponent in the first round. Rozumbayev moved forward without any stoppage but Sidigov was smart and his long-range tactics guaranteed a historic gold medal for Tajikistan in the schoolboys age group.
Kazakhstan’s Assylbek Dossymbekov amazed in the previous rounds at the 35kg weight class and he tried to use the same winning tactics against Uzbekistan’s Yakhyo Komilov. Both boxers were waiting for the best attacking angles and the crowd could watch a huge chess game between the neighbouring boxers. The Kazakh boy had a fantastic performance in the contest and he celebrated his career highlight, the gold medal with a summersault.
India’s Uday Singh eliminated Uzbekistan’s Kamronbek Bakhodirov in an impressive semi-finals and he face Tajikistan’s powerful Firuzjon Boymatov for the title of the schoolboys 37kg weight class. Both boxers had similar style and same number of punches in the first and second rounds therefore the final verdict was depended on the last period. Singh won the third round in three scorecards which was the tiny difference between them today but the Tajik looked also satisfied with his silver medal.
Kazakhstan’s Bekkhan Urazbay eliminated one of his main rivals, Uzbekistan’s Javlonbek Makhammadisakov already in the semi-finals and he started the title bout well enough against India’s Nitin. The Kazakh southpaw knew the weak points of his opponent and he had the comfortable advantage after two rounds of fight. Urazbay enjoyed the third round, he did not make any serious risks and deserved to win Kazakhstan’s second title among the schoolboys.
Uzbekistan’s only two-time Schoolboys National Champion in the team, Mukhammadali Istamov dominated all of his contests during his road to the title bout and he was highly motivated against Kazakhstan’s Zhumagali Nurmakhan in the final of the 43kg weight class. Istamov worked hard in the first round from closer distance and he had a tiny advantage on the scorecards but Nurmakhan’s pressure delivered an unexpected victory for Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan’s Emir Mukhit is one of the stars in this championship and he had a tough job in the last four against an Uzbek opponent, Bekzodbek Ravshanbekov. The Kazakh dominated the first round against Ukraine’s Bohdan Shakytko for the title of the 46kg weight class and he had the massive advantage before the last period. Mukhit’s pressure was uncomfortable for the Ukrainian in the third round therefore Kazakhstan bagged its fourth title in the schoolboys age group.
Iran secured two final spots in the schoolboys age group and their Matin Chamipa not only defeated India’s Ravi Sihag in the semi-finals but he had the strong motivation in the final against Ukraine’s Bohdan Smoliak. The Iranian 49kg weight class boxer used his long-distance tactics in the first and second rounds effectively against a good opponent. Chamita’s strategy paid off today and he claimed Iran’s first ever Asian schoolboy title.
Kyrgyzstan’s Rizvan Isayev and Kazakhstan’s Nurislam Ongalbek were in the same level of boxing in the first round of their 52kg weight class final. Ongalbek had the better finish in their title contest and he managed to win Kazakhstan’s next gold medal winning it by 3:2 split decision. India’s Lakhsay Balhara was 15-20cm taller than all of opponent but Kazakhstan’s Abdimansur Zhaksylyk reduced the fighting distance successfully to win this 55kg weight division final.
Uzbekistan’s Abduvokhid Abdumajidov eliminated India’s Naman Kumar in the semi-finals and he used the same strong strategy against Tajikistan’s Akbardzhon Abdullayev in the next, 58kg final. The Uzbek moved forward from the first seconds but he stepped into Abdullayev’s best fighting distance in their opener and the Tajik surprised Abdumajidov today. Sidigov bagged Tajikistan’s first ever schoolboy title and Abdullayev increased that figure into two.
Kazakhstan’s Aliimran Aliyev is another fantastic boxer in the schoolboys age group who could not repeat his previous performance against Iran’s Farzan Ahmadi Afzadi and he suffered an unexpected loss today. Dalintin Lukianenko is a strong boxer from Kharkiv and the 14-year-old talent had a same tall opponent for the title of the 64kg weight class, Kazakhstan’s Torekhan Kanatbay. The Ukrainian was not enough in shape today and the Kazakh won their final meeting in Al Ain.
Kyrgyzstan’s two-time Schoolboys National Champion Kamil Shar eliminated Uzbekistan’s Mukhammadrizo Kholdarov turning back his semi-final at the 67kg weight class. The Kyrgyz boy dictated the tempo against another Ukrainian boxer from the city of Kharkiv, Yunus Salikhov and he had the advantage on the scorecards. Shar controlled all of the three rounds in their final and he claimed a historic schoolboy gold medal for Kyrgyzstan.
Kazakhstan’s Mansur Amantay and Uzbekistan’s Ayubkhon Mukhammadaliyev both are southpaw boxers with almost the same physical conditions. The Kazakhs had an extremely strong finish in the third round and he claimed the title of the next 70kg weight class.
