Murodjon Akhmadaliev – „Boxing is my life”
Uzbekistan’s ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships silver medallist Murodjon Akhmadaliev will be turning only to 21 next month but he has done incredible great job in the Doha 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships where he defeated all of his rivals. The former AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships silver medallist used aggressive style to beat his rivals in Qatar.
The Uzbek Bantamweight class (56 kg) hope defeated India’s London 2012 Olympian Shiva Thapa following his great first and second round. He had some difficulties in the final three minutes but his advantage was enough to keep the triumph against the former ASBC Asian Champion Indian hope. His final opponent will be Ireland’s London 2012 Olympic Games bronze medallist Michael Conlan after the rest day of the Doha 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships.
“I felt before the Doha 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships I am in top form and my expectations were the highest one before the start of the preliminaries. Me and my coaches are expected good result but anything could happen in the ring and my weight class is really strong in the world. Boxing is my life and I spent all of my time in the training venue with my sparring partners who were my compatriots in Uzbekistan. We are rivals in the Uzbek National Championships but supporting each other to get better results. Now I am in the final in Doha and qualified to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games,”said Uzbekistan’s new hero Murodjon Akhmadaliev after the semi-finals.
