Iksanov performed strongly in the fourth day of boxing

The fourth competition day delivered strong preliminary contests at the IBA Junior World Boxing Championships in Yerevan, Armenia. The Tajiks performed strongly in the session and their Iksanov was one of the most technician boxers in the session.
Boxers who were born in 2007 and in 2008 are eligible to participate in the Junior World Boxing Championships. Afghanistan, Chinese Taipei, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Qatar, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan sent their boxers from the Asian continent.
Tajikistan had fantastic results in the previous junior competitions and their Biloldzhon Iksanov proved his amazing technical skills in his flyweight (50kg) contest. The 15-year-old Tajik boxer opened the first round effectively against Turkmenistan’s ASBC silver medallist Abdalla Hojayev and he was able to continue the strong performance until the last gong.
Uzbekistan’s Shakhbozbek Ergashev is an experienced member of their junior national team and he had the focused boxing from the first seconds against Armenia’s Vahagn Galustyan. The local boy received the support from the local fans but Ergashev landed the better shots in all of the three rounds and he marched to the quarter-finals of the bantamweight (54kg).
Tajikistan’s Mukhammadsulton Sultonov competed in the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Astana and he had the experience to keep the control from the first seconds until the last to beat Turkmenistan’s Mergen Hojammedov. The Tajik lightweight (60kg) boxer exceeded his previous level and he dominated the second part of the contest.
Uzbekistan’s Firuzjon Sadullayev bagged several tournament titles in 2023 and the 16-year-old boxer amazed all of the experts in the first preliminary round in Yerevan. The Uzbek lightweight (60kg) boxer was faster than Albania’s Mirei Gurra in the first round and he eliminated his rival by unanimous decision.
The lightweight (60kg) is a strong category at the Junior World Boxing Championships and the Asian boxers shined in the session. Kazakhstan’s Alikhan Asker, Jordan’s Akram Abdullah Zeadeh and Uzbekistan’s Ruslan Yesanov all impressed against their rivals in Armenia’s capital.
Kazakhstan’s Igor Solovyev competed in several international tournaments in 2023 and he moved up to the middleweight (75kg) to compete at the Junior World Boxing Championships. The Kazakh talent was a bit nervous in the first round against Greece’s David Pavlidis but he increased his tempo in the second and he stopped his European rival with heavy shots.
