Five days left until the start of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships

Only five days left until the start of the first competition day of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships. The upcoming ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on August 17-31 while its competition period is August 20-30.

Kazakhstan will be competing in the upcoming ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships with maximum numbers of 25 youth and 26 junior boxers. Their delegation is the biggest ever in the history of the event, Kazakhstan represents the championship with impressive number of 51 boxers.

Their youth national team is amazingly strong, head coach Mr. Kayrat Satzhanov selected Sanzhar Tashkenbay, Yerassyl Yermek, Elnur Suyunbay, Abzal Serik and Madi Amirov. All won major international championships and have got strong potentials to win their weight classes in Dubai. Their youth female national squad contains also stars and medallists from Kielce, Fujairah and other big events including Zhuldyz Shayakhmetova, Milana Ayupova and Dana Diday.

Arkadiy Topayev is the new head coach of their junior national team who selected the 26 talents based on their performances in the international tournaments. Damir Baipakov, Torekhan Sabyrkhan, Bakhtiyar Anarbayev, Zhassulan Abdolda, Viktor Litvinov and Daulet Tulemissov are all experienced boxers with high number of contests.

Kyrgyzstan selected 28 boxers to attend in the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships following the decision of their management. At the very first time in their history two junior girls will be attending in the championships while their junior male and youth men’s squads contain maximum number of 13-13 boxers. Their junior national team contains boxers who attended in the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships including technician hopes as Vadim Baurin and Bekzat Ergeshov.

Medallists from the Fujairah 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships as Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu and Argen Baktybekov both have been registered to attend in Dubai. Bekbol Murasbekov is only 17 in their youth team but could be another highlight in Dubai who defeated experienced Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu in the national event and moved down to the new light middleweight (71kg).

Altogether record number of 51 champions will be crowned in the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships, 25 girls and 26 boys. At the very first time in the Asian boxing events’ history, two age groups, the junior and the youth can attend in one championships. The women and the men boxers who were born in 2003 and in 2004 are eligible to compete in the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships. The younger boxers who were born in the years of 2005 and in 2006 can attend in the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be a money prize event, following the management of the Asian Boxing Confederation, the ASBC Head office and AIBA confirmed it. The medallists of the 2021 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships will be received cash prizes besides to their medals in May and the youth and junior boxers will be able to earn money in the next upcoming continental event.

The gold medallists in the youth age group will get 6,000 US dollars, the silver medallists 3,000 while those who claim bronze in the weight categories can expect 1,500 USD following their performances. The money prizes in the junior age group will be the same as in the EUBC Junior European Boxing Championships which took place in Tbilisi. The junior winners can earn 4,000 USD, the silver medallists 2,000 and the bronze medallists 1,000 US dollars in the forthcoming continental event.
