Elite national team members dominated their weight classes in the Jordan Youth National Championships

The Jordan Youth National Championships was held in the capital city of the country in Amman where the country’s top talents in that age group all won their weight classes. Mohammad Adnan Abu Jajeh, Mohammad Al-Matbouli and Ziad Eshaish all are members of the national elite team as well and dominated the event in Amman.
Amman hosted the 2013 ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships for the elite men boxers which was a great boxing boom in the Arabic country. ITO Mr. Walid Jarrar and Algerian-born head coach Mr. Azzedine Aggoune are the key persons to develop the country’s boxing life in Jordan.
Jordan could not send teams to the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships to Pavlodar and to the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships to St. Petersburg because their management fully focused to the elite boxers in 2016. The result is their amazing two Olympic quotas in Rio de Janeiro and Hussein Iashaish was able to reach the Top8 in the August’s event in Brazil.
Youth National Championships silver medallist Yousef Eshaish claimed the first gold medal in the Jordan Youth National Championships whose elder brothers are also boxers. The light flyweight (49kg) talent had to meet in the final with Ezzaldiene Qraish and his speed was the difference in their contest. The final verdict was unanimous decision to Yousef Eshaish who won his first youth national title.
Defending champion Mohammad Adnan Abu Jajeh competed in the Bocskai Memorial Tournament in February and won his first ever elite bout in Hungary. The 18-year-old top talent is member of the elite national team of Jordan who was there also in the AIBA Asian & Oceanian Olympic Qualification Event in Qian’an, China. Abu Jajeh had a tough opponent in the gold medal bout of the Youth National Championships, Hasan Al-Kasbeh but finally his hand was raised after the last gong.
National Championships silver medallist Mohammad Al-Adwi was the main favourite of the bantamweight (56kg) in the Youth National Championships and he was amazing against Yazed Al-Adwi in the final of the category. The top talent knocked out his rival in the gold medal bout and proved he is the best in this weight class in Jordan.
Mohammad Al-Matbouli came from a boxing family and he proved his talent also in the elite national team in 2016. The 18-year-old boxer knocked out Ahmad Ibrahim in the final of the lightweight (60kg) in their Youth National Championships. Another key boxer in the youth national team Mohammad Younis controlled all of the rounds against Bahaa Al-Akhras in the final of the welterweight (69kg).
Ziad Eshaish is member of the elite national team who competed in the AIBA Asian & Oceanian Olympic Qualification Event in Qian’an and also in the World Olympic Qualification Event in Baku, Azerbaijan. He moved down to the middleweight (75kg) but his skills were enough to win the final against Moumin Al-Zubaidy.
Mohammad Judeh moved up to the light heavyweight (81kg) in the recent months and proved he adopted the level of the punches quickly therefore he was able to dominate his final over Mohammad al-Mashaekh. Rabea Al-Kawani and Deeb Abughoush both won their finals by TKO in the heavyweight (91kg) and in the super heavyweight (+91kg) in the Youth National Championships in Amman.
