Eleven schoolboys won the titles at the Malaysian National Talent Cup in Penang

The Malaysian National Talent Boxing Cup was held in the island of Penang which is famous of its boxing schools and its international tournament. Altogether 11 champions have been crowned in the Malaysian National Talent Boxing Cup which was the first competition for many of these 13 and 14-year-old boys.  

The Malaysian Boxing Federation has been hosting high number of national events in 2019 which supported their boxers’ developments. The Malaysians have got good technical skills and their boxing life is in developing stage in the Southeast Asian region.

The event was held for their schoolboys age group and boxers arrived to the venue from all regions of the country. Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 were eligible to attend in the Malaysian Talent National Cup. Malaysia was planning to send two boxers to the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships but due financial reasons they were not able to make it happen.

The first title in the Malaysian National Talent Cup was taken by Muhammad Amzar Aqa Shah Bin Mohamed Nazri of Kedah who had a clear success over Mohammad Faiz in the final of the 38kg weight class. The second gold medal was taken by Sarawak’s Muhammad Nur Hazmi Bin Abidin who had two seriously tough fights in the 40kg weight class against Shahmil Fafiz Bin Sobri and Muhammad Mukhriz Khan.

Penang was the host of the Malaysian National talent Cup and the host city’s first title was taken by Adam Farhan Bin Abdul Halim who stopped Izzat Fikri Bin Sharul Azli in the final of the 42kg weight class. Muhammad Husaini Zaini became the second successful Penang boxer who defeated Kedah’s Muhammad Taufiq Bin Khairul Rijal in the final of the 44 weight class.

Perak’s Muhammad Firdaus Bin Zulkifli defeated all of his three rivals in the Malaysian National Talent Cup and won the title of the 46kg weight class. Perak’s Ahmad Danial Bin Amran (57kg) and Pahang’s Muhamad Nazrullah Bin Baharom (60kg) were also impressed in the event. The last title of the Malaysian National Talent Cup was earned by Penang’s Muhammad Syafiq Qusyairy Bin Shahmizam at the 63kg division.
