Danabieke Bayikewuzi won the tough super heavyweight at the Chinese National Games

The male finals of the 15th Chinese National Games saw several top boxers in actions and Xinjiang’s Danabieke Bayikewuzi won the tough super heavyweight (+92kg) in the city of Shenzhen.
The Chinese National Games holds every four years and boxing is included to the official program of this important multisport event. There were qualification events for the Chinese National Games and only the best 16 boxers could participate per weight class.
Guizhou’s Zhang Jiamao represented the country in several top events in the previous two years and he had the speed to beat Inner Mongolia’s Ma Xinming unanimously at the flyweight (51kg) final.
Guizhou’s next hope, Lu Ping robbed into the world of boxing in 2014 at the age of 18 and after a few poor years, he returned to the national team. The 29-year-old boxer defeated his main rivals such as Zhejiang’s Chen Zhihao and Guangdong’s Chen Xinlin in tight bouts to take the title of the featherweight (57kg).
Guangdong’s 26-year-old Zhu Jianhao was not the most experienced boxer at the light welterweight (63.5kg) but he triumphed over Xinjiang’s Yibulayimu Mamuti in the final while the titleholder Shan Jun lost already his quarter-final bout.
The light middleweight (71kg) was a busy category in the Games and Xinjiang’s Yerdawulieti Maiyilanbieke succeeded over Beijing’s Wuleipaer Haerheng for the title while the national team members as Wang Peicheng and Zhang Boxiong bagged only bronze medals.
The Asian Games winner Tuohetaerbieke Tanglatihan was the main favourite of the light heavyweight (80kg) in Shenzhen but he suffered an unexpected quarter-final loss to Sichuan’s Wang Xiaobao who defeated also Wang Jinxiang for the title.
Henan’s Han Xuezhen, the Asian Games silver medallist, remained on the top of the heavyweight (92kg) after beating Beijing’s Meng Fanlong by 4:1 split decision.
The super heavyweight (+92kg) became a strong category in China in the recent years and their Xinjiang-based World quarter-finalist Danabieke Bayikewuzi was able to beat Ma Jinyang unanimously in a top contest.
