Bahrain’s Royal Guard met the British Army in a dual match

The Bahrain Royal Guard and the British Army have excellent relationship and their next dual match was held in the Catterick Garrison in the United Kingdom. The Bahrain Royal Guard had a shocking success over the British Army one year ago and their boxers lost this time in the friendly encounter but worked hard in all of the bouts.

Bahrain increased its activities in the recent two years and their boxing life turned into a new era. After their first official National Championships in 2024, the Royal Rumble Gala and the Bahrain National Sports Day, they started the year with a strong event in Dilmun for the region’s best boxers in all age groups.

Bahrain arranged a fantastic event for the Gulf Countries in the Dilmun Club which was an amazing open tournament for the region’s best boxers this year. The country hosted also the boxing event of the Asian Youth Games this October and their management will still arrange further competitions in 2025.

Mohammad Medhi Sahak is a private in the Bahrain Royal Guard but he proved his strong progress against Zac Kaminski, a Craftsman in the British Army therefore he won the first contest of the dual encounter by split decision.

Prakash Limbu Ijam has strong roots from Nepal but he represents Bahrain in all of the events and he was a hard opponent for British Army’s Lance Corporal Leon Moulds at the light welterweight category.

Maryam Khamis is one of the best female boxers in Bahrain and she won several national competitions in the recent two years. Bahrain’s pride was highly competitive against British Army’s Corporal, Felicity Johnstone and she lost that tight contest only by split decision.

Bahrain’s next promising boxer, Abdullah Al-Abdullah is a private at the welterweight and he was also a hard rival for a British Army talent, Dylan Swales and his opponent could win this fight only by split decision.

Bahrain Royal Guard’s private, the heavyweight Israel Okafor delivered the squad’s second success, he defeated Jack Lorja by points decision. Joshua Young-Hastings defeated Augustine Isaac at the super heavyweight, which was the last bout of the dual match.
