Asia earned four gold medals in the Islamic Solidarity Games

The Asians earned four gold medals in boxing event of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during the last session of the event.
The Islamic Solidarity Games is multisport event hosts every four years and boxing is one of the key sports in their official program. Athletics, swimming, judo, weightlifting, table tennis, fencing, wrestling, equestrian, taekwondo, karate, wushu and many others sports are also in the agenda as well.
Saudi Arabia has a growing sports industry and their Islamic Solidarity Games was the next exemplar for their huge commitment and investment to build up an excellent image.
Turkey’s Aysen Taskin won the first title in the Islamic Solidarity Games at the women’s bantamweight (54kg) which was followed by her teammate, Evin Erginoguz in the next female category. Erginoguz defeated Uzbekistan’s young Odinakhon Ismoilova at the women’s lightweight (60kg) with confidence.
Following Egypt’s Amir Kelany’s success, Uzbekistan’s Abdullokh Madaminov won the first title for the Asian continent. The 20-year-old Asian U22 Champion eliminated his technician Iraqi rival in the semi-finals and he used his impressive footwork to land enough punches against Algeria’s veteran, Jugurtha Ait Bekka.
Saidjamshid Jafarov is two-time Asian Elite Champion but he switched from Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan in the recent two years. The ex-Uzbek boxer defeated Turkey’s Sultan Osmanli and he won the busy men’s light heavyweight (80kg) in the Games.
Uzbekistan’s Khumorabonu Mamajonova is one of their new female sensations in the national team and after her tight success over Algeria’s Chahira Selmouni, she defeated Azerbaijan’s 19-year-old Aynur Mikayilova at the women’s featherweight (57kg) final.
Jordan’s Zeyad Eshaish is member of the national team since 2016 and he won several medals in the main championships during his career. The 27-year-old boxer was too smart for Kyrgyzstan’s lone finalist, the former Asian Youth Champion Nuradin Rustambek Uulu and he earned Jordan’s first title in Riyadh.
Uzbekistan’s Madiyar Daniyarov robbed into the world of boxing four years ago when he won a strong international youth event in Belarus. The lightweight (60kg) boxer eliminated Iran’s World Championships bronze medallist Daniyal Shakhbakhsh in the semi-finals and he walked over to the title against Azerbaijan’s 19-year-old Mahammadali Gasimzade.
