ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira and the ASBC management send their condolences to the victims of a bomb blast in one of Kabul’s boxing clubs

The ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships and several other competitions are running worldwide but we have to inform our Boxing Family about a huge tragedy. A strong bomb has blasted in one of the boxing clubs during the training sessions in Kabul, Afghanistan which killed five of our young boxers last evening.
The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira of Thailand and the whole ASBC management send their condolences to the victims of the bomb blast which was an inexplicable event in Afghanistan’s capital.
Afghanistan suffered heavy casualties two weeks ago when a 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit the city of Herat and its northwest region.
The Melat Boxing Club has 40 members and among them 26 were in the training sessions to practice to the nest national events when the tragedy happened in Kabul.
According to our current information the head coach of the boxing club, Mr. Mohammad Rahim Afzali has injured but he received immediate treatment and his condition is relatively good enough in the hospital. May their souls will rest in eternal peace in Afghanistan.
