ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba wishes Happy Chinese New Year

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore the whole ASBC management wishes Happy Chinese New Year to all stakeholders, friends, boxers, coaches, officials, referees and judges and our followers throughout the whole continent.

2021 is the year of the Ox according to the Chinese Zodiac, starting from February 12th 2021 and lasting until January 31st in 2022. The Asian Boxing Confederation wishes good health, prosperity, happiness, smile and all the best to the whole boxing community.

The Chinese New Year festival usually lasts for 16 days starting from the Chinese New Year’s Eve to the Lantern Festival. It is from February 11 until February 26th in China in 2021. The standard public holiday for Mainland Chinese is the seven days from Chinese New Year’s Eve to Day6 in the new Lunar Calendar from February 11 until the 17th this year.

Chinese Lunar New Year activities starts as early as three weeks before the Chinese New Year’s Eve but a week before these celebrations are more usual. Traditional folk in mostly the rural region of China people start cleaning their houses on the 23rd day of the 12th Lunar Month before New Year’s Eve.
