ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba sends his best wishes to the Palestine Boxing Federation on their National Day
The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and Vice-President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore and the whole ASBC management are sending their best wishes to the Palestine Boxing Federation and their whole Boxing Family on their National Day.
The Palestinian Declaration of Independence is a statement which was written by the Palestinian poet Mr. Mahmoud Darwish and proclaimed by the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Mr. Yasser Arafat in Algiers on the 15th of November in 1988. The Independence Day is an official national holiday in Palestine on November 15th each year since 1988.
Palestine joined to the international boxing events in the 1990s but the new era began in the recent years when the country increased its activities. Palestine claimed a historical bronze medal at the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships and their talents competed many international events with increasing successes.
The Palestinian Boxing Federation has got new activities, long term plans and grassroots programs to build up a great future. Palestine is planning to host two courses for national level of Referees & Judges during the first week of November in the cities of Ramalla and Jerusalem to develop their boxing knowledge and inform the participants about the rules, developments and important changes. Their Palestinian National Boxing Championships for all age groups from the schoolboys up to the elite boxers is planning to be held during the end of December but its venue is not decided yet. The National Championships will be the selection of their teams in all age groups for the important upcoming year of 2021.
