ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba send their best wishes to the Bahrain Boxing Federation on their Independence Day

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and Vice-President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore and the whole ASBC management are sending their best wishes to the Bahrain Boxing Federation and their whole Boxing Family on their Independence Day.

Bahrain declared independence from the United Kingdom in 1971 following a United Nations Survey of the Bahraini population. The Independence Day will begin on 16 December and ends on 17 December in Bahrain which has a strategic location. The state annually celebrates it as National Day to coincide with the day that former emir His Majesty Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa ascended to the throne.

His Majesty Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa was made the first emir of Bahrain from 1961 until his death in 1999. The National Day celebrates every year on 16 December and usually hold with firework displays in the capital city. The National Day and the next one are public holidays in Bahrain which in an archipelago of 33 different islands.

Bahrain re-joined to the Asian boxing map in 2019 and attended at the Bangkok 2019 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships first. Bahrain sent a woman boxer to Bangkok which was another historical step from the developing country. Bahrain competed also in the Kuwait City ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships and at the Fujairah 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships. Their best boxer, Denys Latypov was born in the Tatarstan region of the Russian Federation but he represents Bahrain in the international events since 2019. The 29-year-old boxer has got more than 10 years of experiences in top competitions and his skills are one of the bests in the super heavyweight (+91kg) in Asia.
