ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba congratulates to Mr. Edgar Picson who elected as President in the Philippines

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore the whole ASBC management congratulate to Mr. Edgar Picson who has been elected as new President of the Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines. Mr. Edgar Picson believes in the hard and continuous work and his leadership efforts in the past delivered outstanding results for the Filipino boxers.

Mr. Edgar Picson is a well-known boxing official who spent the recent decades in the sport as manager in the Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines. He was the Executive Director and Secretary General of ABAP in the 2010s when the country reached several impressive results in the international stage. He replaced the former ABAP President Mr. Ricky Vargas

He was member of several Commissions in the recent years and worked actively to develop our beloved sport not only in the Philippines, but in the Southeast Asian region and the Asian continent. Mr. Picson is the one of the Executive Committee members of the Asian Boxing Confederation since April 2019.

Mr. Edgar Picson and his wife, Mrs. Karina Picson worked hard to take the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships to Subic Bay in 2013, and the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships to Puerto Princesa in 2017. Philippines achieved medals in all levels of the sport in the previous years as the Olympic Games, AIBA World Boxing Championships, AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships, Asian Games, ASBC Asian Boxing Championships and Southeast Asian Games.

Mr. Anas Alotaiba and the Asian Boxing Confederation wish him all the best during the road of developments of boxing in the Philippines.
