ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba and the management send best wish strong health and full recovery to Philippines’ R&J Mr. Cildo Evasco

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore and the whole ASBC management are sending their best wishes, strong healthy, speedy and full recovery to Philippines’ Referee & Judge Mr. Cildo Evasco who is in critical condition following he has pancreatic cancer.

Philippines’ AIBA 3-star Referee & Judge is a wonderful person and has strong motivation to win this hard battle. All of the staff members of the Asian Boxing Confederation and the whole Asian Boxing Family are praying for his recovery.

Mr. Cildo Evasco worked as Referee & Judge in several national events in the Philippines and he was also assistant tournament manager in various competitions. He worked at the Singapore 2015 Southeast Asian Games which was one of his first big international boxing tournament out of the Philippines.

He was invited to associate the World Series of Boxing in Season VII and Season VIII, mostly in Chinese and Indian venues. Evasco worked in top youth competitions such at the Bangkok 2017 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships, the Budapest 2018 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships and the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

His highlight in the year of 2019 as a Referee & Judge was the historical first edition of the ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Kuwait City, then the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in Ulan-Ude, Russia.

Evasco was invited to support the success of the African Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event in Dakar, Senegal in February 2020. He worked last time at the European Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event which was held in London and suspended after three competition days in March 2020. Mr. Cildo Evasco was one of the few referees and judges who could work already in two Olympic Boxing Qualifying Events.
