ASBC Future Stars – Iran’s Boorang brothers who trains in the city of Ahvaz

Iran’s super talented Boorang brothers could be the next future stars of the developing boxing country according to their daily work, training videos and preparations in the recent months. Iran has got high number of talents in the youngest age groups through all provinces of the country which is part of their long term strategies.

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s new PR campaign, the ASBC Future stars have been introducing the continent’s best hopes and young talents focusing to the new wave of the boxers. The Asian Boxing Confederation is planning to introduce the youngest generations of Asian talents under the schoolboy and junior levels. 

The younger talent Shayan Boorang is only 10-years-old but began his training in our sport four years ago to reach his level of his elder brother. Shahriyar will be turning to 13 this year and joined to the schoolboy age group and could be Iran’s highlight in the upcoming 2021 ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Championships.

Their coaches are Mr. Atabak Karavand who trained high number of young talents in the recent years. Both brothers train in the city of Ahvaz which is located in the Khuzestan Province, southwestern part of Iran. Besides to the main local sport, football, boxing is also growing rapidly in the region.

The Iranian Boxing Federation launched grassroots project and campaign this year to find as many talents as possible in the regions of the country to involve them to the national teams. Following Ali Khodadadi and Mohammadreza Yarahmadi, Shayan Boorang and Shahriyar Boorang could be their next future stars.

The President of the Iranian Boxing Federation Mr. Hossein Souri is a very active official and he believes that the country will be able to get Olympic medals in the future. His mission is to double the number of the total number of boxers in Iran and raise the popularity of boxing into the top sports of the country.
