ASBC Future Stars – Iran’s 7-year-old Arsia Bazrkar from Bandar-Abbas

Iran’s Arsia Bazrkar is a super talented small child who impressed his coaches, officials and several stakeholders with his intense and high speed training sessions. The Asian Boxing Confederation’s new PR campaign, the ASBC Future stars have been introducing the continent’s best hopes and young talents focusing to the new wave of the boxers.

Arsia Barzkar was born in the historical and the fifth most populous city of Iran in Shiraz in 2013 and the 7-year-old talent quickly proved his high interest to our sport. Barzkar’s family moved to another city a few years ago therefore he trains in the city of Bandar-Abbas which is a port and capital of Hormozgan Province on the southern coast of Iran.

Iran’s next young talent Arsia Barzkar began his boxing career two years ago on September 2018. The 7-year-old boxer quickly adopted the punching techniques and he can do several complicated combinations after two years of experiences in the combat sport.

His coaches are Alireza Khakizadeh and Amir Khakizadeh in the city of Bandar-Abbas but the Covid-19 Coronavirus situation made their normal life more complicated. Barzkar has been training with his father at home continuously due to the quarantine of his country and his boxing club is closed.

The Iranian Boxing Federation launched an important grassroots project and campaign this year to find as many talents as possible in the regions of the country to involve them to the national teams. Their schoolboy national events set up new entry records in the recent years which is the first element of their developments but Iran’s management is also focusing to the sub-schoolboy level.

Following 8-year-old Ali Khodadadi, 9-year-old Mohammadreza Yarahmadi, Shayan Boorang and Shahriyar Boorang, the youngest Arsia Barzkar is another diamond in the country and could be their next future stars in and out of Iran.

The President of the Iranian Boxing Federation Mr. Hossein Souri is a very active official and he believes that the country will be able to get Olympic medals in the future already in the Paris 2024 edition. His mission is to double the number of the total number of boxers in Iran and raise the popularity of boxing into the top sports of the country.
