ASBC ATHLETES & YOUTH COMMISSION MEETING

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s Athletes & Youth Commission led by Mr. Ali Juha Salameh of Jordan at the very first time. The participants discussed to inform all national federations to arrange national championships in the schoolboys level to be raised the background of the sport in each Asian nations. Further point is each national federations shall appoint a 3-star AIBA coach to train their youngest 13-14-year-old boxers which is the schoolboys level. Following the event in Shymkent and the 2013 ASBC Asian Men’s Elite Championships the next continental event will be the 2014 ASBC Asian Youth Continental Championships just before the 2014 AIBA Youth World Championships which will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria and will be the qualifying event to the 2nd Youth Olympic Games.
