ASBC Asian Junior Champions, Bakhtiyar Anarbayev and Torekhan Sabyrkhan were the top winners at the Dildabekov Prizes Youth Tournament

Thirteen winners celebrated their gold medals at the Mukhtarkhan Dildabekov Prizes Youth Tournament in the city of Turkestan, Kazakhstan. The ASBC Asian Junior Champions as Bakhtiyar Anarbayev and Torekhan Sabyrkhan were the top winners in the international youth competition.
The UNESCO World Heritage site, Turkestan is one of the boxing cities in Kazakhstan which hosted several competitions in the previous year including the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial Tournament.
Altogether 118 boxers arrived to the competition venue from all regions of Kazakhstan, but Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and China are also there in Turkestan. Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 were eligible to participate in the Dildabekov Prizes Youth Tournament in Turkestan.
Mr. Mukhtarkhan Dildabekov was a famous Kazakh super heavyweight boxer in the end of the 1990s and beginning of the 2000s. He earned a silver at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, a gold at the Bangkok 1998 Asian Games, a silver at the Houston 1999 World Boxing Championships.
Bekzat Ergeshov was silver medallist at the 2022 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Amman and he is still at the youth age group. He defeated first one of his main national rivals at the minimumweight (48kg), Zafarbek Kamilov and two Kazakhs such as Ulan Kuanyshbay and Abay Toleubekov were also not able to stop him.
Nurasyl Mynzhasar lives and trains in the Kyzyl-Orda region in Kazakhstan and following his perfect performance against a local boxer, Bekzhigit Rysbek, he won the tough flyweight (51kg) in Turkestan. Baglan Kenzhebek (54kg) and Bekzat Musakhan (57kg) both had to win four contests to get the gold medals in their weight classes.
Turkestan region’s Nurislam Kaldybay won the next title and delighted the home crowd following his success over Bekkozha Zhaksylyk at the lightweight (60kg). An ASBC Asian Junior Champion Bakhtiyar Anarbayev knocked out and stopped his rivals at the light welterweight (63.5kg), taking the second gold medal for Turkestan.
The host city’s top boxer, the two-time ASBC Asian Junior Champion Torekhan Sabyrkhan moved up to the welterweight (67kg) and he dominated all of his contests including the final against Kyrgyzstan’s Elzat Satarkulov. Another 17-year-old talent, Oner Seilkhan bagged the title of the light middleweight (71kg), he defeated Nurbol Mukametali in the final.
Azat Zholdaskhan walked over to the title of the light heavyweight (80kg) following his opponent from Kyrgyzstan, the ASBC competitor Mukhamed Dursunov was unable to box against him. Almaty region’s Nurasyl Yerniyaz and Almaty city’s Yersultan Sapar won the heaviest weight categories in Turkestan.
