Akhmadi Arvaz continued his winning path at the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Championships

Kyrgyzstan’s young sensation, the Asian Junior Champion Akhmadi Arvaz continued his winning path in their Youth National Championships in Bishkek.
Altogether 36 female and 163 male boxers competed at the Kyrgyz Youth National Championships, which took place at the Kozhomkul Sports Hall in Bishkek. Boxers from the 2008 and the 2009 age groups were eligible to participate in the Youth Nationals.
The management of the Kyrgyz Boxing Federation hosted two important national events in the month of December, which served as selections for the upcoming competitions.
Perizat Zholchubekova of Osh had two hard tactical contests at the women’s minimumweight (48kg), but she managed to beat the defending champion Aliya Saliyeva of Cui region and Jamilya Ismatova by split decisions.
Dzhalal-Abad region’s Madina Nuraliyeva had also a hectic final against Diana Muratova but three out of the five judges favoured her in that female title contest.
Following Nurperi Makeshova’s success at the featherweight (57kg), Dzhalal-Abad region’s next hope, Symbat Uraimjanova was dominant at the lightweight (60kg), she used the best strategy against Shirin Tursaliyeva in the final.
Naryn’s Eliza Maksatova and Batken’s Asian Youth silver medallist Zarina Asanova overwhelmed their opponents in the heavier female weight categories.
The first male gold medal was achieved by Aliumar Orunbekov from the Dzhalal-Abad region who had a tight success over Mukhammadali Kanybekov.
Nursultan Duyshonaliyev was the seed number one of his weight class and the 17-year-old boxer had a remarkable performance against all of his opponents in Bishkek, including the final over Daniel Tashtanbekov.
Bishkek’s Daniil Bulavkin is an Asian medallist but he had to beat the Asian Youth Games medallist Zubair Akramov, Baitik Apsatarov and Umar Orusbayev to take the title of the lightweight (60kg) in Bishkek where 26 boxers fought for the title.
Kutmanbiy Muratov arrived to the event as the main favourite of his category but he was defeated by Eldiyar Tenisbekov of Chui region in the next final.
Bishkek’s Akhmadi Arvaz was Asian Junior Champion in 2024 and the 17-year-old boxer knocked out several of his opponents in the recent three years. Arvaz continued his amazing winning path in the Youth National Championships where he was too strong for Mukhammad Abdumanabov.
Osh region’s Sharob Shamsudinov and Usman Kaparov won the next finals in the Youth National Championships before Ibragim Bakalov defeated Chui region’s Abdumalik Lerov in the next top final of the Nationals.
Chui region’s Aitbek Berdimuratov won one of the closest finals of the event over Nursultan Ashimov which was a split decision at the heavyweight. His teammate, Karimzhan Imenkhodjayev accomplished his goal, the gold medal of the super heavyweight after beating Baydoolot Belekov in the final.
