Afghanistan Boxing Federation hosted a successful AIBA 1-Star Coach Course in Kabul

Afghanistan Boxing Federation hosted its first ever AIBA 1-Star Coach Course in their capital city in Kabul which was their next effort to develop boxing in the country. Afghanistan began a new road in the boxing world this year and their strategic plan contains several elements how to develop the sport in the country.
The Instructor of their first ever AIBA 1-star Coach Course in Kabul was Sri Lanka’s Mr. Indrasena Rubasinghe Kankanamge who worked hard for the success of the event. He worked as coach in the Sri Lankan Army boxing team in the last decade and he was also the Instructor in Nepal during the AIBA 1-star Coach Course in Kathmandu.
President of the Afghanistan Boxing Federation Mr. Abdullah Sattari attended also in this important event in Kabul. Mr. Waheedullah Hameedi not only organized all areas of the AIBA 1-star Coach Course in Kabul before and during the sessions but he translated for the participants in the whole event.
The courses contained also theoretical and practical classes in Kabul during the AIBA 1-star Coach Course. Former Afghan National Champion Mr. Omid Mehrabi, Mr. Mohammad Qadir Sultani, Mr. Hameedullah Hameedi are all well known in Afghanistan’s boxing life and each attended in the courses. Mrs. Fahima Sherzai is the first Afghan woman who could attend in a coach course and she could be one of the pioneer in the female part of the sport.
