AIBA 3-star R&J Course was held in the Chemistry Cup with the participation of three talented Asian referees
The Chemistry Cup delivered great successes for the Asian countries, India claimed two gold medals in the small World Cup where the Cubans, the Russians and the US boxers are also attended with top squads. During the competition an AIBA 3-star Referee & Judge Course was also held in Halle, Germany where three Asian participants are also attended. The AIBA 3-star Referee & Judge Course was led by Mr. Terry Smith of Wales and Mr. Andrew Caulfield of Scotland.
Iraq’s Waleed Shehab Al-Alkawi worked as a Referee & Judge in several European and Asian events and received the right to attend in the AIBA 3-star R&J Course in Halle. Kazakhstan’s next AIBA 3-star R&J will be Asylbek Chunyshkaliyev while Mongolia’s former boxer Byambayar Atarbayar was also taking part in the Course. The Mongolian R&J was a successful athlete who attended in the Budapest 1997 AIBA World Boxing Championships and several other big events.
There are several Referee & Judge programs which are running in the boxing world and the next one will be held in Bangkok in a few days. The Thailand Open Boxing Tournament or previously known as the King’s Cup is one of the most traditional international event in the Asian continent and the local organizers are expecting record number of countries and boxers to the competition.
The upcoming 3-star AIBA R&J Course during the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament will be held from June 28 until July 7 including with the date of the arrival and departure. The Course period of the seminar is between June 29 and July 6.
