Astana Arlans Kazakhstan and the Uzbek Tigers both advanced to the Play-off in the World Series Boxing after Week 10

Defending WSB Team Champion Astana Arlans Kazakhstan and the Uzbek Tigers secured their places in the Play-off of the World Series Boxing following their powerful successes in the tenth weekend of the Group Stage. Astana Arlans Kazakhstan defeated China Dragons in Guiyang and following that the Uzbek Tigers triumphed over Venezuela Caciques twice in Termez beating them in total 9-1.

China Dragons – Astana Arlans Kazakhstan 0-5
The three-time WSB Team Champion Astana Arlans Kazakhstan defeated the Indians 3-2 in an away match in the city of Rohtak and following that success their strong franchise was able to beat also China Dragons 5-0 in the Guizhou Qingzhen Training Center in the city of Guiyang. Their next away success means Astana Arlans Kazakhstan is secured their places in the Play-off Stage of Season VIII.
Former ASBC Asian Champion Temirtas Zhussupov, Incheon 2014 Asian Games winner Ilyas Suleimenov, ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships bronze medallist Bekdaulet Ibragimov and Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships silver medallist Abilkhan Amankul all impressed and won their contests by large margin of difference in Guiyang. China Dragons did not select boxer at the heavyweight (91kg) therefore Anton Pinchuk won the last contest by walk over.

Match 1: Uzbek Tigers – Venezuela Caciques 5-0
The Uzbek Tigers joined to the World Series of Boxing in Season VI when their boxers reached the Semi-finals as a new Asian franchise. The Uzbeks had to meet with a South American franchise Venezuela Caciques twice and the strong Central Asians were able to beat them 5-0 in the Alpomish Sport Majmuasi in Termez.
Nodirjon Mirzakhmedov, their newcomer Aliyor Noraliyev, ASBC Asian Champion Israil Madrimov and Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Sanjar Tursunov won their contests easily, did not give any chance to their Venezuelan opponents. Rio 2016 Olympic Games winner Shakhobiddin Zoirov had the strongest possible rival, Rio 2016 Olympic Games bronze medallist Yoel Finol but in spite of his few difficulties the Uzbek was able to win their narrow bantamweight (56kg) match.

Match 2: Uzbek Tigers – Venezuela Caciques 4-1
The second encounter between the Uzbek Tigers and Venezuela Caciques was held short after the first in the same venue at the Alpomish Sport Majmuasi in Termez. The final result of the second match was 4-1 to the Uzbek Tigers which meant the franchise advanced to the Play-off of the WSB after Season VI and VII as well.
Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships silver medallist Jasurbek Latipov returned to the squad and defeated his Venezuelan rival before the final gong how Rio 2016 Olympic Games winner Bektemir Melikuziev and Bakhodir Jalolov also did. Their teenage talent Shunkor Abdurasulov won his contest against Luis Angel Cabrera closely, turning back their fight before Mahmud Gaipov lost to the Panamerican Games winner Gabriel Jose Maestre in Termez.
