Astana Arlans Kazakhstan and China Dragons won their opening WSB matches in Season VII
The Season VII in the World Series of Boxing has begun with four matches in the weekend and three Asian teams have also attended in Week 1. Astana Arlans Kazakhstan defeated the Patriot Boxing Team in an away match in Moscow which was one of the key bout of the Asian Group in the World Series of Boxing. China Dragons had a lucky 3-2 wins due injuries against the strong Uzbek Tigers in the Asian battle of Week 1.
Patriot Boxing Team vs. Astana Arlans Kazakhstan
The Patriot Boxing Team which is the new name of the Russian franchise met in an important contest with Astana Arlans Kazakhstan in the Asian group. The Kazakh squad did well enough in Moscow and finally they were able to win their away match 3-2 which was an important step form them to the possible Play-off.
Kazakhstan’s 2013 ASBC Asian Champion Temirtas Zhussupov worked well against Russia’s Baku 2015 European Games winner Bator Sagaluev and he was near to beat his rival at the light flyweight (49kg). Astana Arlans Kazakhstan’s first success was delivered by Incheon 2014 Asian Games winner Ilyas Suleimenov who moved up to the bantamweight (56kg) only in the recent months but he was too strong for Artem Khotenov.
Astana Arlans Kazakhstan’s debutant in Moscow was 21-year-old Dilmurat Mizhitov who was enough brave against a strong boxer Russia’s Radmir Abdurakhmanov. The younger Kazakh talent did nice things in the ring and lost to only by split decision in the third bout of the WSB match. Astana Arlans Kazakhstan was able to turn back the encounter following Abilkhan Amankul’s and Anton Pinchuk’s amazing performances.

China Dragons vs. Uzbek Tigers
The Uzbek Tigers has done their debut in the World Series of Boxing in Season VI when the franchise advanced to the semi-finals and only Cuba Domadores were able to stop them. The Uzbeks began their campaign in Sanya against China Dragons and after two clear triumphs they lost to the host franchise after unlucky circumstances.
Uzbekistan’s newcomer in the World Series of Boxing 20-year-old Mironshokh Ibragimov was amazing against China Dragons’ Huang Xin in the light flyweight (49kg) and dominated all of the rounds in Sanya. His teammate National Champion Abdulkhay Sharakhmatov won all of his three WSB bouts in Season VI and he was able to continue his strong performance against China Dragon’s Wang Long.
After the dominancy of the Uzbek Tigers Hu Qianxun took a success for China Dragons by walk over as his star rival Elnur Abduraimov was unable to box against him. The next Uzbek star Ulugbek Khakberdiev dominated his middleweight (75kg) contest against Zhao Minggang but he has injured after unlucky steps in the fourth round short after when he knocked down his Chinese rival. Following China’s second lucky triumphs in Sanya Guo Jin did enough to beat the current Uzbek National Champion Boburbek Yuldashev in the heavyweight (91kg) and China Dragons won the contest 3-2 in home soil.
