ASBC President Mr. Serik Konakbayev led the AIBA Athletes & Youth Commission Meeting in Manchester

ASBC President and AIBA Vice-President Mr. Serik Konakbayev attended in the AIBA Commission Meetings in Manchester, England this week. Mr. Serik Konakbayev is also the Chairman of the AIBA Athletes & Youth Commission which he led during the joint commission meetings in the United Kingdom.
AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu welcomed all of the members in the opening of the Commission Meetings where Lord Mayor of Manchester and England’s Super Heavyweight class (+91 kg) professional star London 2012 Olympic Games winner Anthony Joshua were the special guests.
Mr. Serik Konakbayev had an opening speech in the AIBA Athletes & Youth Commission Meetings and following that the members approved the previous decisions. The main topics of the meeting were the effect of the change limit, the athlete career pathway, the competitions for the youth age group and development of the schoolboys, junior and youth age groups under AIBA structure.
Education was the next topic of the AIBA Athletes & Youth Commission Meeting to understand the importance of antidopping. Post career program, the health and safety of the boxers, the improvement of the coaches and the fair play were the further key aspects of the meeting in Manchester.
The Asian Boxing Confederation working hard together with the affiliated national federations to get record number of Olympic quotas to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
