Drakel and Hasanella won their finals by knockouts at the Indonesian Junior National Championships

Asraf Drakel and Guntur Latif Hasanella both won their junior finals by knockouts at the Indonesian National Championships in Palu City.
The venue of the Indonesian National Championships is the promising Palu City in the island of Sulawesi. The Palu City is the capital of Central Sulawesi Province in Indonesia and it is located in the northwest coast of the island.
The Indonesian Boxing Federation celebrated its 66th anniversary end of this month and the competition is another great commitment from their new management. The new President of the Indonesian Boxing Federation, Mrs. Dr. Hillary Brigitta Lasut, S.H., LL.M. and the top officials all followed the bouts in the venue.
Maluku claimed four out of the eight male gold medals in the Indonesian Junior National Championships and topped the team rankings.
The pinweight (46kg) is a strong category in Indonesia and their Yosafat Daniel Bryan of Sulawesi proved his talent in the final against Frillo Sumampouw to take the first junior male title in Palu City.
Another 15-year-old talent, Distefano Tutupary was in excellent shape in the Junior National Championships and he controlled all of the three rounds against Purwo Agung at the light flyweight (48kg) final.
Yohanes Arjuna Mau also won his flyweight (50kg) final by unanimous decision over Mark Anthony Kantohe. Ade Arya stopped his final opponent, Janwar Emanuel Lado Mau still in the first round and he celebrated his gold medal at the light bantamweight (52kg).
Asraf Drakel of Maluku not only dominated the first round against Randy Kurnia Aninnas but he won that opener 10:8 in almost all of the judges’ scorecards. The 16-year-old boxer from Maluku landed a lethal punch in the second round and the referee confirmed his KO triumph in Palu City.
Following the first KO of the junior event, another boxer from Maluku, Guntur Latif Hasanella also knocked out his final opponent in the sessions. The featherweight (57kg) boxer delivered the second KO of the finals, shocking Joel Roemon Gultom in the first round.
Laskar Aditia Mukmin delivered the third gold medal for Maluku after beating Hulio Abed Nego Bagilis at the lightweight (60kg). Maluku’s fourth junior male title was achieved by Median Esa Dano Ismail at the light welterweight (63kg) in Palu City.
