The Sulaibikhat Sports Club won the team rankings at the Kuwait Schoolboys National Championships

The Kuwait Boxing Federation arranged its first competition in this new season and their Schoolboys National Championships and eleven champions celebrated their gold medals in Kuwait City.

Boxers from the 2011 and 2012 age groups were eligible to participate in the Kuwait Schoolboys National Championships and these new talents started the pathway of their career in the Sabah Al-Salem Boxing Hall.

The best team of the Kuwait Schoolboys National Championships was the Sulaibikhat Sports Club in the event with earning four gold medals. The Al-Nasr became the runner-up of the National Championships while Al-Qurain Sports Club was the third in the overall ranking.

Altogether 10 boxing clubs competed in the Kuwait Schoolboys National Championships which was the first edition in the season. Kuwait Boxing Federation is planning to arrange another national event for their schoolboys in a few months.

The first winner of the national event was Muhammad Basil of Sulaibikhat Boxing Club who defeated Muhammad Mutab Saad of Burgan at the 37kg weight class.

Al Qurain’s Bandar Khaled Bandar shined in the 40kg weight category, he triumphed over Qadisiya’s Fahad Ali Muhammad in the final of the Nationals.

Kuwait City’s Issa Saad Abdullah was too strong for Al Nasr’s Abdulrahman Ali Kassar at the 44kg and he bagged his first national title. 

Al Nasr’s first gold medal was achieved by Muhammad Fawaz Suwaid who had the control over Abbas Yousef Abdullah in the fourth final of the Nationals. Ali Yousef Ali continued Al Nasr’s strong achievements, he became the gold medallist of the 50kg after beating Jamal Awad Odeh in the national event.

Ali Nawaf Ahmed defeated Abbas Amar Mahdi, while Sulaibikhat Boxing Club’s Omar Ahmed Muhammad was victorious over Fahad Adel Shanan at the 56kg.

Al Nasr’s third title was bagged by Abdullah Salem Yasser at the 60kg, before Sulaibikhat’s Yaqoub Yousef Jaafar defeated Abdulrahman Omran Kazem at the 64kg weight class.

Sulaibikhat’s Mohammed Marzouq and Yousef Mohammad Jaafar from Kuwait City won the titles in the heaviest weight categories in the Sabah Al-Salem Boxing Hall.
