The final line-ups are confirmed in the CIS Games

The final line-ups are confirmed at the Commonwealth of Independent States Games which turned into the most important parts of the event in Azerbaijan.  

Eight cities are hosting the CIS Games in Azerbaijan and boxing is running at the Yevlakh Olympic Center until October 5.

Uzbekistan’s Utkirbek Norkosimov had a local rival in the semi-finals of the pinweight (46kg), Ali Rushanov and after this impressive success, he will meet with another boxer from Azerbaijan, Kardash Rakhimov, who had a surprise victory over Tajikistan’s Damir Nazarov.

Tajikistan’s new sensation at the light flyweight (48kg), Azamjon Khasanov bowed out Belarus’ Uladzislau Zhardzetski in the semi-finals of this strong category and he will now meet Azerbaijan’s Ali Aliyev for the title of the Games.

Tajikistan’s next ace in their junior national team, the technician Bekhruz Umarov was too smart for Azerbaijan’s Aykhan Hasanov in the last four and he will face for the title of the flyweight (50kg) with Uzbekistan’s Azizbek Shokirjonov.

Kazakhstan’s Edige Nurgozha competed in Azerbaijan, in China and in Hungary out of his homeland as preparations for the CIS Games. The Kazakh triumphed over Uzbekistan’s Bekzod Ismoiljonov and he will box with Ali Abasli of Azerbaijan for the title of the light bantamweight (52kg) while Turkmenistan’s Hangeldi Lukmanov claimed a bronze.

Kyrgyzstan’s Erbol Baratakhunov is only 15-year-old but he has more than seven years of ring and training experience. The Kyrgyz bantamweight (54kg) boxer eliminated Belarus’ Mikhail Melnichonak and his last opponent will be Uzbekistan’s Bekhruzjon Rakhataliyev in this amazing Games.

Akbarjon Abdulloyev won the ASBC Asian Schoolboys title in Al Ain one year ago and he joined the junior age group this January. The 15-year-old Tajik was born in a boxing family as his father his the former national boxer Mr. Akmal Abdulloyev who works as referee and judge currently. Abdulloyev eliminated Azerbaijan’s Aflatun Ismiyev and he will meet for the gold Uzbekistan’s Bobomurod Boymirzayev, one of the top stars.

Uzbekistan’s Otabek Nurmakhamadov (60kg), Dilshod Akhmadjonov (63kg), Komronbek Khamdamov (66kg), Oybekjon Abdurakhimov (70kg), Khurshidbek Jurayev (75kg) and Farkhodjon Bakhadirov (+80kg) are all advanced to the finals while the local Azeris also amazed during the semi-finals.
