India launched a Talent Program on their strategic meeting

The Indian Amateur Boxing Federation arranged its Executive Committee Meeting and their Strategic Meeting in New Delhi.
The meeting was successfully held at the Hotel Sopan Heights, Karol Bagh, New Delhi which was chaired by the President of the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation, Dr. Rakesh Mishra.
“The primary objective of the IABF is to provide Indian boxers with high-quality of training, modern resources, and continuous opportunities so that they can excel not only at the national but also at the international level. Our goal is to bring pride to the country on the world stage by providing the best opportunities to the athletes,” said Dr. Rakesh Mishra during the strategic part of the meeting.
The Indians launched their new Talent Program to find and identify the national players for the international competitions in the future. The country has huge number of pugilists in all of the regions from the youngest boxers up to the elites in India.
The Secretary General of the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation, Mr. Rakesh Thakran presented detailed information regarding the outline of the upcoming national and international competitions, the rules of the sport, the training methods and preparations to the championships during the Executive Committee Meeting.
The participating officials from all states presented reports of the progress of IABF athletes, the training arrangements, the talent identification, and organizational preparations in their respective regions, districts and units.
The key discussions and conclusions of the Strategic Meeting was to strengthening the organization, making IABF more robust and active in all levels. Another key point was the talent promotion by encouraging boxers to participate in national and international competitions, additionally to strengthening the resources and the training methods.
The IABF also decided that in the future, special programs will be conducted to provide better infrastructure, scientific training and mental strength to the athletes.
The Indians competed with big team at the recent ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in Colombo, Sri Lanka where the country earned gold, silver and plenty of bronze medals.
