The energetic Dr. Hillary Brigitta Lasut is the new Indonesian President

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Aziz Kozhambetov and the whole management congratulates to the new President of the Indonesian Boxing Federation, Mrs. Dr. Hillary Brigitta Lasut, S.H., LL.M.
The General Meeting of the Indonesian Boxing Federation was held in Jakarta in the recent days and all of the important positions are fulfilled for the upcoming years.
Dr. Hillary Brigitta Lasut, S.H., LL.M, was born in Manado, Indonesia on 22 May in 1996 and she is the Doctor of Law following her graduations in the Pelita Harapan University and the Washington University in St. Louis.
Mrs. Lasut was the youngest member of the House of Representatives between 2019 and 2024. She is elected female member of the House of Representatives with the Highest Vote Count Nationwide in 2024. She is member of the Commission XI and the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Body since 2024.
Mrs. Lasut has the idea to involve Indonesia more actively to the international boxing stage and send the team abroad more often to get them the relevant experience.
The new Vice-Presidents of the Indonesian Boxing Federation are Mr. Harpen Reza Ali, one of the most experienced Asian Technical Delegates, Mrs. Shelly Selowati H. Soejono, Mr. Jovan Latuconsina, Mr. Brigjen Pol. Prof. Dr. Hoiruddin Hasibuan, Mrs. Trinovi Khairani, and Mr. Eka Putra.
Mr. Djasman Abubakar will be the Daily Chairman of the Federation while Drs. Warta Ginting appointed as the Secretary General in Indonesia. Mr. Osco Olfriady Letunggamu is the General Treasurer of the Indonesian Boxing Federation.
Indonesia hosted the Asian Games in Jakarta in 2018 and their boxers returned to the podiums after a long break. Huswatun Hasanah claimed a surprise bronze medal at the women’s lightweight (60kg) while another young talent, Sunan Agung Amoragam achieved also bronze at the men’s bantamweight (56kg) in the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games.
Huswatun Hasanah earned a silver medal at the 2021 ASBC Asian Women’s Boxing Championships in Dubai and their Maikhel Roberrd Muskita not only achieved a title in the Southeast Asian Games but he bagged a silver at the 2023 ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships in Bangkok.
