Mr. Akyikat Abaev of Kyrgyzstan arrived to Bangladesh to prepare their national team

One of the most talented trainers in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan’s Mr. Akyikat Abaev was named as the head coach of the national team in Bangladesh.
Kyrgyzstan’s coach, Mr. Akyikat Abaev was born in 1986, he is member of the younger generations and he worked hard in his homeland to develop several of the top boxers in the recent years.
Despite his young age, he began his coaching job more than 20 years ago in 2005, he worked in the Bulak Boxing Gym, the Family Sports Boxing Gym in Bishkek but he reached his main successes with the national team.
He joined the High Performance Team in Kyrgyzstan in 2018 and since then he supported the country’s top boxers to achieve such great historic results as podiums in the Olympics, World Elite Boxing Championships, and gold medals in the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships.
His best pupil, Erkin Adylbek Uulu qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and he claimed three bronze medals at the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.
His next top athlete in Kyrgyzstan, Sanzhai Seidakmatov was quarter-finalist in the 2021 and in the 2023 editions of the World Boxing Championships in Belgrade and in Tashkent.
Mr. Abaev is also member of the Executive Committee of the Kyrgyz Boxing Federation since January 2020 until present day.
Following his work in Kyrgyzstan, he signed a contract with Bangladesh and he will prepare the national team to the upcoming main events as the Asian Championships, Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games.
Bangladesh sent boxers to the recent ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships to Chiang Mai, Thailand and also to the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships which took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka this May.
The finals of the 31st edition of the Bangladesh Men’s and the 7th Women’s National Championships featured in their capital city in Dhaka this summer and many of the boxers are in a training camp with Mr. Abaev currently.
