Fifteen amazing champions in Andizhan

Fifteen fantastic talents celebrated their titles at the Uzbekistan Junior National Championships in the Andizhan region where several of the ASBC medallists were not able to take gold medals.

The 2009 and 2010 born boxers were eligible to participate in the Uzbekistan Junior National Championships in the Andizhan region.

The weight categories of the Uzbekistan Junior National Championships were the following: 42kg, 44kg, 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and the +80kg. The 42kg and the 44kg are the additional divisions to the competition as in the recent years in Uzbekistan.

The Olympic Reserve School of the Republic claimed eight out of the fifteen gold medals in the Junior National Championships and topped the medal standings. Boxers from the Andizhan, Ferghana, Tashkent, Namangan and Kashkadarya, additionally from the city of Tashkent earned the remaining titles in the national event.

The ASBC Asian Schoolboys silver medallist Yakhyo Komilov was the top favourite at the 42kg weight class but he was defeated by Bekhruzbek Mutalibjonov in the semi-finals and the Andizhan-based boxer won also the final against Murtazobek Mashrabjonov.

The ASBC Schoolboys bronze medallist Kamronbek Bakhodirov was the seed number one at the 44kg but Ferghana’s Kholid Boborakhimov stopped him in the quarter-finals of the event. Tashkent’s Abdugani Yorkinjonov and Tashkent region’s Nodir Nishonov won the next two very difficult weight categories in the Nationals.

Khabibulla Saynazarov had two tough battles in the final stages of the flyweight (50kg) but he found the best tactics against Bekhruz Mamurjonov and Azizbek Shokirjonov. Bukhara’s ASBC medallist Mukhammadali Istamov lost his first preliminary bout which opened the way to Namangan’s Bekzod Ismoiljonov to win the light bantamweight (52kg).

Asadbek Esonboyev, Abdullo Yusupov and the ASBC Schoolboys quarter-finalist Asliddin Usubaliyev were the most experienced boxers at the bantamweight (54kg) but finally Bekhruzjon Rakhataliyev bagged the title of this division.

The Dracula Open Tournament winner Bobomurod Boymirzayev delivered one of the most sensational performances in the Junior National Championships, he defeated all of his four rivals by large margin of differences at the featherweight (57kg).

The ASBC Asian Junior silver finisher Ibrokhim Shokirjonov was the next star of the competition, he looked different level as Otabek Nurmakhamadov at the lightweight (60kg) final. The Dracula Open Tournament winner Abrorbek Sharipov and his teammate, the ASBC Asian Junior Champion Saidkhudja Sadillakhudjayev accomplished their target, the gold medals in the junior national event.

One of the best finals were held at the middleweight (75kg) where Khurshidbek Jurayev had the stamina to beat the ASBC Asian Junior silver medallist Diyorbek Murodilloyev in a highly exciting battle. Kashkadarya’s Samanadarbek Umarov and Asadbek Sultanboyev (+80kg) won the heaviest categories in the national competition.
