Zinnat Ferdous of Bangladesh is the best female boxer at the Braga Open

The Braga Open Tournament was held in Portugal for both genders, all age groups in the middle of the summer and one of the sensational Asian boxers from Bangladesh, Zinnat Ferdous won the title of the competition, and she was names as the Best Female Boxer.
Braga is located in the far north of Portugal, northeast of Porto and the city is famous of its medieval cathedral, Gothic-style chapel, river beaches, palaces, parks and gardens.
The Amco Arena in Braga was the venue of the international competition at the Cidade Deportiva SC Braga which had all the facilities.
The Braga Open was for the elite, youth, junior and schoolboys boxers as well covering all age groups in this international event.
Portugal is a developing boxing country in Southwest Europe and their enthusiasts are working so hard to arrange more events in their beautiful locations.
The organizers of the Braga Open, Mr. Luciano Machado and Mr. Paulo Carvalho worked hard in the previous years to take several clubs and national teams to Braga. Not only Bangladesh but Bahrain also competed in the Braga Open among the Asian countries.
Zinnat Ferdous is a US-based female boxer from Bangladesh who has an outstanding and important job and she is a boxing enthusiast as well.
She decided to represent her grassroots, Bangladesh in the international stage which made her the best woman boxer of the South Asian country.
Zinnat Ferdous participated at the 2024 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai, Thailand last December following her successes in the preparation tournament throughout the world.
She competed against Spain’s Paula Gonzalez first in the semi-finals of the women’s light flyweight (50kg) and Ferdous controlled all of the exchanges in their meeting.
Ferdous faced a top local boxer in the final of this strong female weight class but she dominated that bout against Portugal’s Mafalda Silva whose ringside abandoned their unequal contest in the second round. Those two successes guaranteed for her a gold medal and the Best Female Boxer Trophy in Braga.
