Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan shared the titles at the Makanalin Junior Tournament

The Tleugerey Makanalin Junior Tournament was held in the city of Balkhash where host Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan shared the titles.
The number of the participating boxers was 105 in the event which is the biggest event in the city of Balkhash every year. Boxers, who were born in 2009 and 2010, all were eligible to participate in the Makanalin Junior Tournament which was held in 13 weight categories.
The Karagandy region claimed four gold medals and topped the medal standings in the junior international tournament. The Uzbek junior team achieved three gold, three silver and five bronze medals and proved another remarkable performance.
Tajikistan sent five boxers to the competition and all of them advanced to the finals of the Makanalin Junior Tournament in Balkhash. Among them two boxers claimed titles while the host city’s team, Kyrgyzstan and Akmola region shared the remaining gold medals.
Kazakhstan’s Daryn Bazaraly had a hectic final against Tajikistan’s ASBC Asian Schoolboys silver medallist Firuzjon Boymatov but after the last gong, his hand was raised therefore he earned the title of the pinweight (46kg).
The next Tajik finalist, Azamjon Khassanov smashed all of his opponents in Balkhash and he stopped also his opponent for the gold, Meirbek Kaldybay. His 15-year-old teammate, Bekhruz Okhunov also used his power to beat Kyrgyzstan’s Almaz Toktakunov in the final of the light bantamweight (52kg).
A local boxer, Nurassyl Bolatkhan had a tight success over Tajikistan’s Bekhruz Umarov at the flyweight (50kg) while another Balkhash-based boxer, Dilmukhammed Bazhikeyev also succeeded in the Makanalin Tournament.
Sunnatali Abduvakhobov achieved Uzbekistan’s first title in Balkhash, he had a tight victory over Ali Akhmetov of Kazakhstan at the featherweight (57kg).
Kyrgyzstan’s Zubair Akramov is an experienced junior boxer who moved up to the lightweight (60kg) but he won all of his four contests in Balkhash including his final over Abdurakhmon Murtazayev of Uzbekistan.
Karagandy region’s trio such as Samat Askar (63kg), Azatbek Tilekuly (70kg) and Torekhan Kanatbay (75kg), furthermore Akmola region’s Adilkhan Tyulyubayev (66kg) all impressed in their final bouts.
Uzbekistan won the gold medals in the heaviest weight categories as Sardorbek Bakhromkhojayev (80kg) and Shokhjakhon Islomov (+80kg). The second Uzbek defeated Tajikistan’s Abubakr Olimzoda in a close final bout in Balkhash.
