Amazing women boxers will compete at the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships

Fantastic female boxers will be competing in the upcoming ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in Colombo, Sri Lanka from next week.

The countdown continues, only 2 days to go until the start of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in Sri Lanka’s busy capital city.

Kazakhstan’s best youth girls as Aiym Tankibayeva, Sila Bybolsynkyzy, Tolganay Kassymkhan, Alina Kudaigenova, Akbota Yessimbekova and Mariya Sidorenko all have strong international results from the last two years and they have won already competitions in 2025 as well.

Gulnar Turapbay, the Youth World Champion Elina Bazarova, the ASBC Asian Youth Champion Bakyt Seidish, and the multiple Asian Champion Shugyla Nalibay all were registered in Kazakhstan’s U22 female team. The former ASBC Asian Junior Champion Viktoriya Baidukova impressed in her last international event and she will make a strong comeback in the level of the Asian Championships.

Vietnam’s duo in the U22 age group, Ngo Ngoc Linh Chi and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tran both impressed in the recent ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai half year ago and they claimed silver medals there. Vietnam has strong potential in women’s boxing and their girls are favourites in the upcoming championships.

Tajikistan will send some experienced girls to the competition but among them Farinoz Abdulloyeva could be a star in Colombo. The 16-year-old talent joined the youth age group only this January but she won the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Al Ain with top performance last year.

DPR Korea focused on women’s boxing in the recent two decades and their two youth boxers as their National Champions in several times, Jon Un Gyong and Kim Un Ok both are gold medal favourites in their weight categories.

Mongolia’s multiple international tournament winner Lkham Tsendbaatar, Kyrgyzstan’s Aiperi Adylbekova, and India’s Kumari Chanchal are also strong girls in the youth age group who need to be watched in the championships.

Twenty-five nations are planning to participate in the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships which is one of the highlights of the year.

The event period of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka is between May 10 and 24. The Sport Entries Checks, the Technical Meeting and the Official Draw will take place in the Cinnamon Red Hotel in Colombo on May 11.
