The Press Conference of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships was held in Colombo today
The Press Conference of the upcoming ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships featured in Colombo, Sri Lanka today.
On behalf of the Asian Boxing Confederation, Mrs. Marina Ni welcomed all of the press members and she is expecting a remarkable competition in Colombo which will be Sri Lanka’s biggest ever boxing event in their sport history.
The President of the Sri Lankan Boxing, Mr. Anuruddha Shanaka Bandara arranged so many competitions in the country in the previous one year and he underlined the importance to host an Asian Championships in Colombo.
The new Secretary General of Sri Lankan Boxing, Mr. Tharanga Perera also took part in the Press Conference in Colombo today.
The countdown continues, only 5 days to go until the start of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in Sri Lanka’s busy capital city.
The event period of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka is between May 10 and 24.
The Sport Entries Checks, the Technical Meeting and the Official Draw will take place in the Cinnamon Red Hotel in Colombo on May 11.
The first competition day of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships will take place in Colombo on May 12 while the finals are scheduled to be held in two last sessions on May 22 and 23.
Several of the promising countries in the Asian continent such as Nepal, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Yemen all will send their boxers to Colombo.
The Sri Lankans claimed a medal at the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai last December and aiming for new top results on home soil.
